How are parent drop-offs and pick-ups accomplished?
Children may be dropped off in the morning beginning at 8:35-8:55 A.M. Children dropped off in the front of the school must be escorted by an adult into the office and signed in. Parents in the car rider line pull to the curb at the side of the building as directed by the adults outside. We can load and unload four cars at a time. Students exit only on the right side of the car. Make sure your child can open and close the car door independently. Please stay in your car as children unload and load.Use your car tag everyday. Beginning Sept. 1st, no vehicles will be allowed to utilize the parent pickup circle without the appropriate car tag. Please do not enter the bus lane in the front of the school during morning and afternoon bus dismissal. Car circle dismissal in the afternoon starts at 3:45 pm.

Can you explain lunch money and meals?
The Clarksville-Montgomery County School Board has adopted the Offer vs. Serve program for all of our school cafeterias. This means that the students have choices as to what to eat. The children are given at least 5 choices from the 4 major food groups for lunch and must select a minimum of 3 different items to be considered a complete meal. Our department tries to offer two main entree choices each day, but students are allowed only one entree with the meal price. There will be a charge for additional items. Students will be serving themselves, but cafeteria staff and others often offer help with the younger students. Serving utensils are available for all food items. Lunch Prices for the 2018-2019 School Year:Elementary students will now pay $2.65 for lunch. Reduced is .40 for lunch.Adult/Teacher lunches will be $3.50*Adult prices are regulated by the Tennessee Department of Education so are subject to change****New**** Parents can now add $ to a school lunch account from their home computer! It is the policy of Clarksville-Montgomery County School System that for any person to be allowed to visit with students during lunch, that the person be listed on the students Emergency Card (INS-F004). An exception may be made if the listed parent/guardian requests in writing that someone be allowed to visit and this request is approved by the building Principal.

For the 2018-2019 school year, breakfast is served to each child every morning, free of charge, with the Universal Breakfast in the Classroom program.
What if I want to visit the school?
Parents are always welcome to visit our school at any time. You must sign in at the office and receive a visitor's badge prior to having lunch with your child or volunteering in the classroom. Please notify your child's teacher about volunteering in advance. We are diligent about keeping our students safe and the building secure. Teachers work hard to establish learning routines that do not need to be interrupted. Teachers are not available during instructional periods to have discussions regarding a student's progress, etc. Every teacher has a planning period, for which a conference may be scheduled for such purpose. Conferences should be scheduled at least 24 hours in advance, in order to accumulate data that would be necessary for the conference.
How will my child get home?
Teachers will follow information provided by the office at the time the student enrolls in school. Any change in how your child gets home must be in writing, and conveyed to the teacher no later than the morning of the change. Students are not allowed to ride a different bus home without prior approval from an administrator. LIBERTY WILL NOT ACCEPT CHANGES OVER THE PHONE.
What are the procedures for dismissing my child early from school?
Children are dismissed from class/school from the main office. Parents or caregivers must provide photo identification to verify they are allowed to dismiss the child (emergency card must match), office personnel will notify the teacher, and the child will be asked to come to the office. Teachers will not allow any child to leave their classrooms with any adult that does not have a dismissal note from the office. LIBERTY WILL NOT ALLOW DISMISSALS AFTER 3:20 P.M.
Can you tell me a little about Liberty Elementary?
In "The Land of Liberty", you can expect every child to be treated as someone special. Our schedule is based upon a eight-day rotation. In this rotation, all children will be provided an opportunity to enjoy uninterrupted language and math blocks of instructional time. Additionally, all students have the opportunity to enjoy physical education, music, art, library, and guidance. The schedule accommodates common planning times for teachers, which is essential in developing instructional strategies that meet the needs of all children. It also prevents any classroom from "missing out" on a special class due to inclement weather and school closing.
