Welcome to the 2020-2021 School Year. Hello, my name is Christina Barnett and I love teaching! I have been teaching for a little more than 15 years. Before teaching at Liberty, I taught in Italy at the DODEA school in Naples and in Norway at the International School of Stavanger. I have been a military spouse for the last 26 years and we have traveled all over the world. It is my hopes to stay here, in Clarksville, forever! Tennessee is home for me. I have one daughter, Isabella (graduated as Valedictorian at Rossview High School in May 2016 and SummaCumLaude from MTSU in Forensic Science Dec 2019, and is now a forensic scientist working for the TBI). I have two cats, Natasha and Smokey, they are both quite old 19 and 17. We have had them their whole lives. I am very excited to be teaching in Clarksville at Liberty Elementary for my 12th year (7 years in 2nd grade, 4 years in third grade, 1 year in 5th grade). This is going to be a fantastic year!

Classroom Expectations:

  • Mrs. Barnett's Brainy Boxers are expected to be respectful and responsible, always! I set high expectations for my students and they rise to meet them. My job is to not only teach them math and science but to help them become people that others want to be around.
  • Student's work should be neat, accurate, and finished in a timely manner. I expect my students to put their name on their work, claim what they accomplish with pride. I expect each student to try their hardest to do accurate and neat work at all times; even when no one is watching!
  • Students will stay on task and focused, completing all work to the best of their ability. Every student can succeed if they only try!
  • Remember HARD WORK PAYS OFF
  • "Today I will do what others won't so tomorrow I can do what others can't!"
